OFFICE POLICY Updates

For all scheduled appointments: A minimum of 24 hours (business days only) is required to cancel an appointment, in order to avoid the $50 cancellation fee. Patients who cancel within 24 hours (business days only) or No-Show to an appointment will be charged $50. Cancellations made over the weekend for Monday appointments will not be honored. Monday appointments must be cancelled by the prior business day (Friday). Exceptions for acute medical illness may be considered.

If patients choose to use their own pharmacy, instead of the recommended pharmacy, they may be responsible for obtaining their own medication prior authorizations from their insurance providers. Patients may be charged $25/prescription/attempt if the office has to process their prior authorization paperwork.

Please help me best keep you safe. If you are currently experiencing new fevers, cough, shortness of breath, body aches, sore throat, loss of smell/taste, diarrhea/vomitting, or if you have been exposed to anyone with these symptoms in the last 7 days, please stay home or re-schedule your in-office appointment for a virtual one. If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or been directly exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 7 days, please stay home or re-schedule your in-office appointment for a virtual one.

Our telemedicine platform allows me to continue to care for many skin conditions and even send prescriptions while you stay home (and yes, it’s ok if you teleconference from your couch or even in your pajamas!). As always, patient safety comes first. Our photo-sharing and video-conferencing platform is HIPAA compliant and simple to use (Just click the link sent to your cell phone at the time of your scheduled visit. No need to download any Apps or signup for a portal or website). A fee may be collected prior to the appointment, if we are not in-network with your insurance plan, if your insurance plan does not cover telemedicine visits, or to pay your visit copay. A superbill can be provided if you need to submit it to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
